B. Jones hails from Lansing, MI where he began his career over 12 years ago. At the age of 15 B. Jones got his big break when WQHH hired him. It was at WQHH Power 96.5 where B. Jones began to craft his skills, from doing fill-in shows to mixing. While still in High School B. Jones was quickly becoming a household name by putting out mixtapes and DJing High School parties.
In 1997 when B. Jones went to college that’s when things really began to take off. B. Jones quickly became know as the hottest DJ in the area and started DJing for surrounding colleges and clubs on a regular basis including. Colleges included Central Michigan, Michigan State, University Of Michigan, Ferris State & Saginaw Valley.
After finishing college in 2001 B. Jones moved back to Lansing where he became an instant favorite from DJing at the hottest clubs in Lansing to holding down his own radio show on Power 96.5. It was known that B. Jones was back in the city in a major way.
In September of 2006 B. Jones caught his biggest break and that was a being guest DJ on BET’s Rap City along with the guest Atlantic Recording artist Yung Joc. During the show Yung Joc even stops talking about his project just to give B. Jones props on how good he sounds cutting and scratching his record, and that he liked what he was hearing!
B. Jones now resides in Southfield, MI and you can catch him still holding down his own radio show, the mixshow’s on Power 96.5 and rocking clubs and college parties on a weekly basis in Detroit and the surrounding area’s.
